AN AMBITIOUS
ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMME
Spie batignolles actively contributes to raising the necessary awareness across society about the full spectrum of environmental issues.
The Group’s policy seeks to optimise each stage of the project, including implementing eco-design, optimising the performance of structures
and reducing pollution and disruption around worksites.

Taking action to combat climate change
Spie batignolles is actively working to minimise the impact of its operations. The Group closely monitors the changing volumes of greenhouse gas emissions generated by its business, using the annual reviews conducted by each entity. It has put in place a full circuit for worksite waste, spanning prevention, recycling, discharge, elimination, sorting and recovery. Furthermore, systems to regulate and reduce electricity and water consumption are rolled out to worksites as early as possible. These include temporary wastewater basins and huts equipped with photovoltaic panels.
Protecting biodiversity
In order to best adapt its operations to natural spaces and protect wildlife, plants and environmentally sensitive areas, Spie batignolles conducts an environmental assessment before starting its work (which may include mapping the environmental sensitivity if necessary) and consults with ecologists, environmental protection organisations and local charities to implement targeted action. If work is conducted in an environmentally sensitive area, specific measures are also put in place, such as installing fencing and wildlife corridors or anticipating nesting and mating seasons.
